"In Drama we can help children become different selves. We keep giving them alternatives of where they might go... They can take that make believe, that pretend, that fiction into real situations to see if they can make the outcome different."
Mick Waters, when he was Director of Curriculum, Qualifications and Curriculum Authority speaking at the 'School Improvement Through Drama' Conference, Birmingham (19/06/07)

“ D4LC has improved teaching and learning in many of our D4LC schools and has helped engage children who can be difficult to reach with traditional teaching techniques. I am positive that D4LC can inspire schools both in the UK and abroad to use drama in a range of different learning situations. We are delighted that the partnership with National Drama has been so successful and innovative. "

"D4LC is an excellent example of an initiative that involves advocacy, networking and research. The International Drama Theatre and Education Association has adopted D4LC as an IDEA project and hopes this will help it to spread worldwide. Already D4LC has been presented in Taiwan and the UK at World Creativity Summits and at a World IDEA Congress in Hong Kong, as well as at the 2nd UNESCO World Arts Education Conference in Seoul, South Korea. D4LC workshops have taken place in Poland, Austria, Greece, Turkey, Germany and Iceland."
